Dr. Jin-Hoon Park earned his Bachelor’s degree from Korea University, followed by his Master’s and Ph.D. in Health & Kinesiology from Texas A&M University in the United States. Following the completion of his doctoral studies, he served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Arizona State University, where he conducted in-depth research on motor dysfunctions associated with Parkinson’s disease.

He was subsequently appointed as a professor at Korea University, leading extensive research that bridges the fields of human motor behavior and neuroscience. It was during his research collaborations with neurologists and neurophysiology researchers at the affiliated university hospital that he first encountered cerebellar ataxia. Upon learning that no definitive cure or effective treatment existed for these patients, he felt a profound sense of personal empathy. Driven by the conviction that his expertise in motor rehabilitation could offer a meaningful breakthrough and provide much-needed support, he was inspired to dedicate his research to this field—a pivotal moment that marked the inception of his journey into ataxia rehabilitation.

Since then, he has devoted significant attention to this complex neurological disorder, consistently pursuing original research focused on analyzing its symptoms and pioneering innovative rehabilitation strategies. Through his ongoing clinical collaborations, he has conducted systematic observational studies on patients, continuously building a robust foundation of practical and empirical expertise.
